Alrighty! Flying out in about 8 hours. Can’t believe it’s finally here.

I think we’ve got everything. Might have to book another plane for all the luggage.

Got a 5 hour stopover in Brisbane tomorrow so we are going to go into Southbank and meet up with some family. Hopefully the kids will be okay on the flight. Looks like my little girl might be coming down with a cold. Cross fingers that she’s not.

My boy should be right. Apparently there are vid screens in the back of each chair on the international flight. I imagine he will be glued to that for the entire flight.

Lodged our passport applications today.  They say it takes about 10 days for them to come through.  Hopefully there are no problems.

It was a relatively painless process really.  I expected it to be a little more involved.

The worst part was getting the photos.  Some places were charging up to $80 for the set.  Here’s a tip.  Try the photo lab at K-Mart.  $7.50.  Takes about 2 minutes.

Why do passport photos always look like mug shots though?  I felt like I should be holding up a little board in front of me with my name and a heap of numbers under it.

Well, it looks like we are now going to squeeze in a quick trip to check out DisneyLand in Hong Kong after Kuala Lumpur.

Sweet, I guess. That takes the estimated travel time within the confines of an aircraft fuselage to 30 hours 20 minutes. Which is about 4 times the amount that I have spent in a plane in my entire life! Hope they’ve got the bar stocked!

Mind you, you know what they say………..”The worst day 30 000 feet above the planet is better than the best day at work.”
