Someone emailed this to me the other day and I thought it fit nicely with the site, seeing that we are going to be in the air for a goodly amount of time. Some of the shots are absolutely incredible!

A bit off topic I know, but I thought it appropriate to include some information on Jerome K. Jerome. Jerome Klapka Jerome (May 2, 1859 – June 14, 1927) was an English author, and apart from having the same surname as his christian name, is best known for the humorous travelogue Three Men in a Boat.

The book was intended initially to be a serious travel guide, with accounts of local history of places along the route, but the humorous elements eventually took over, to the point where the serious and somewhat sentimental passages now seem like an unnecessary distraction to the essentially comic novel. One of the most praised things about Three Men in a Boat is how undated it appears to modern readers.

Other works include the essay collections Idle Thoughts of an Idle Fellow and Second Thoughts of an Idle Fellow; Three Men on the Bummel, a sequel to Three Men in a Boat; and several other novels.

Three Men in a Boat is especially worth the read.

Most of his works can be downloaded from Project Gutenberg, which is an excellent resource for out of copyright free ebooks.
